Today is a day off… It seems to me that the days off are more busy then the days of work. It seems that rest does not occur in the days that are needed. It’s not really ok if that is the case. I know God, after He created, took the 7th day off… I some times wish we would go back to the mindset the folks in the bible had toward the day of rest. Sabbath literally means to cease, to stop and observe.
In the world that we live in, it is almost vital to our existence to have something going on around us. We do not take the time to observe and take a breath for a moment. We have cell phones, ipods, wii’s, dvds, cars and so much more. We even need to have a fan running to just be able to sleep. How interesting to me that we live a world that must have noise.
Take the time and sit and observe… It most definitely takes time and practice to even get to this point. We need to start observing what God wants, instead of doing what we think He wants.
