How sad…

So many times we find ourselves “to busy”. I was wondering the other day why we do not take the time to search out Christ. At the youth group i teach, i have found that the students are your average everyday teens. They have the relationship problems, bad hygiene, and awkward moments that all teens seem to have.

We were discussing why people do not take the time to search Christ out. A few responses were, ” I am to busy” or “people do not think He is real”. These two statements came across as sad to me. I ask one of the girls in the group why she thinks she is to busy, she tells me she doesnt have the time. I found out, as the conversasion went on, that she watches at least 2 hours of tv a day. If you think about it, that is; 14 hours a week, which then adds to 728 hours a year, which is 30 1/3 days. This is just watching tv.

This blew me away. Imagine the impact that we would insue on the culture around us, if took the time to focus on Christ for at least 2 hours a day. I am not saying we stop our lives and start a commune. Just think, if we were to show the enthusiasm for following Christ as we were to watching our favorite show our culture would be turn upside down.

until next time…
